The challenge.

Food screening involves complex technical information, while quality checks can be costly and labour-intensive. The app needed to make measurements and results understandable for use across distribution centres, field work and on-site visits.

The key decision.

I explored the content and stakeholder requirements before defining the UX and interface, focusing on presenting complex screening information in a usable application.

The rejected option & why.

A specific rejected alternative is not documented for this project.

The outcome.

The engagement provided UX definition and UI design for Xpectrum’s food-screening application, supported by wireframing and usability testing.

The final verdict.

The design work translated a specialist screening process into an interface intended to make results easier to access and understand. The platform’s broader goal was to support more scalable food-quality checks.
